When you think of Charles Gabus, the next word to come to mind is probably “Ford”. A phrase that might not come to mind is “real estate developer” but it looks like that will change in 2016. Kent Darr of the Business Record reports “Gabus Plans to Bring Something Unique to Grimes“.
The project is reported to be a large scale development spanning 400 acres, 4,500 possible new rooftops and may take an estimated 4-5 years to complete. The land comes from family-owned farmland which has now become prime development ground west of Highway 141.
Darr reports that builders have already shown a strong interest and development on the first street is scheduled to begin in May of this year.
